Nú er komið að okkur hjá Hvönn að bjóða til okkar á fyrstu opnu æfingu vetrarins.

Sunnudaginn 20. september ætlum við að vera með Latin æfingu frá kl. 14-16, opin fyrir alla sem vilja koma.

Kennari á æfingunni verður Manuela Faller, erlendi gestakennarinn okkar til margra ára.

Æfingin er FRÍ, í boði dansfélagsins Hvannar. Allir eru velkomnir.

Hildur Ýr Arnarsdóttir danskennari verður einnig á svæðinu og aðstoðar.

Við erum búin að standsetja nýja húsnæðið okkar, erum staðsett í Vallarkór 12, 201 Kópavogi.

Á sama stað og nýja íþróttaakademían.

Hlökkum til að sjá ykkur öll.

Nýtt útlit á síðunni hefur verið gangsett og er núna verið að vinna í því að þýða það allan grunn þess yfir á íslensku. Sú vinna ætti að klárast eftir helgi. Smáauglýsingarnar eru núna skýrari og einfaldara að fletta í gegnum þær.

Ítalska dansíþróttasambandið (FIDS) hefur sent frá sér tilkynningu á ensku vegna ákvörðunar sinnar að banna Juvenile og Junior pörum frá Ítalíu að taka þátt í Junior Blackpool Dance Festival.

Aðal ástæður sem FIDS gefa vegna þessarar ákvörðunnar er að skipuleggjendur Junior Blackpool Dance Festival hafa ekki tengsla við IDSF, eða sambands tengt IDSF, og styðjast því ekki við sömur reglur og mót á vegum IDSF. Einnig er talið til að við skipulagningar liðakeppni í Blackpool hafi ekki verið haft samband við FIDS, heldur aðila á Ítalíu sem stendur utan við FIDS.

ITALIAN DANCESPORT FEDERATION FORBIDS THE ITALIAN ATHLETES TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BLACKPOOL JUNIOR DANCE FESTIVAL 2009

Subject: Forbiddance of participation for the associated FIDS athletes to the exhibition “Blackpool Junior Dance Festival 2009”.

Following the statement issued on this site on the last 21st of February , the Executive Committee of the ITALIAN DANCESPORT FEDERATION met today in Rome, after careful consideration of the unpleasant situation concerning the relationship with the organizers of the exhibition in hand under the viewpoint of sport, regulation, law and political opportunity, decided the following:

1) It is forbidden to the FIDS associate members to take part in all of the competitions scheduled by the above-mentioned exhibition, under penalty of the infliction of sanctions conforming with the current federal regulation;

2) It has been ordered the payback of the subscription paid by the athletes (including the postage);

3) The Federation management department is invited to verify the existence of possible financial setbacks strictly related to the subscription costs of the athletes and their managers, according to the original documentation dated before today, in order to take into consideration a possible refund (even though nobody was allowed to proceed before the acceptance of the subscription by the Federation). In this regard the FIDS Board will take decisions.

The main reasons of such decisions lie in the following topics:

A) The organization of the Italian team – for the Team match during the competition- has been assigned to somebody who is a non-associate and non-affiliate member to the FIDS, against whom the Italian Federation is going to law in order to protect its own duties and prerogatives provided for by the law and the CONI. This duty, an insult to the exclusive prerogatives of the FIDS, is proved to date from the advertising on several sites of the dancesport, even though it has been denied repeatedly during the meetings held in England with the organizers;

B) The FIDS must safeguard the athletes and its publicistic function by which the Italian Federation has the duty of spreading and promote the values of the sport, the most important of which is the guarantee of the rules and their observance.

C) The FIDS wants to fight with all its means the patent policy of weakening its potential (regulating and representing the SPORT of Dance at the institutions in Italy and all over the world) to avoid to go backwards when the dancesport was not recognized by the IOC –International Olympic Committee, and when our sport was considered as a mere ludic, leisure activity, in the hands of a few “professionals” which disposed of the competitions to their own profit.

The present statement is also addressed to all the Federations members of the IDSF International Dancesport Federation and to those institutions in charge of watching over the sport of every nation, in order to explain in details the position of the Italian DanceSport Federation, also considering the several declaration of solidarity received from the most important s dancesport federations worldwide.

Nú er víst komið að okkur í Dansdeild ÍR að hafa opið hús á æfingu eins og um var rætt á síðustu opnu æfingu sem var hjá Dansskóla Ragnars sem heppnaðist alveg ágætlega.

Við bjóðum öllum sem geta og vilja að koma á æfingu hjá okkur laugardaginn 28.febrúar kl 15.00 -17.00 í ÍR heimilinu, Skógarseli 12, annarri hæð.

Ókeypis inn og foreldrar og þjálfarar velkomnir.

Vonum að við getum átt eins ánægjulega stund saman eins og við áttum síðast.

Íslandsmeistaramótið í 10 dönsum er komið á Facebook. Allir dansáhugamenn sem nota Facebook geta tekið þátt í að auglýsa mótið á Facebook með því að bjóða vinum og kunningjum að skoða Facebook atburðinn fyrir íslandsmótið.

Íslandsmeistaramótið fer fram helgina 7. og 8. mars. Samhliða því fer fram DSÍ Open 2009, þar sem keppt er í bæði Latin og Standard í flokkum 16 ára og eldri K og F. Einnig fer fram Bikarkeppni í flokkum í grunnaðferð.
